
On October 12, the World Food Programme, the United Nations' food-assistance branch, received the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts to combat hunger in conflict-affected areas. According to reports, it has assisted over 97 million people in 88 countries in 2019 alone.
Joining the celebration is UN National Ambassador Against Hunger KC Concepcion, who has been part of the organization for 12 years.
On Instagram, the 35-year-old actress shares snippets of her travels under the humanitarian organization and its fight against hunger all over the world.
“Hello, loves! The @worldfoodprogramme, my beloved organization that I've been a part of for 12 years now, has just been awarded the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize,” she announces.
“Thank you for your support, for being part of this great humanitarian work by donating and paying attention to our cause in helping to fight hunger on many occasions -- especially here in the Philippines. We appreciate you.”
In a follow-up post, KC thanks the World Food Programme for teaching her how to give and support vulnerable communities around the world.
“To those who trained me to stay alert and ready to work in teams. I've seen the world through your guidance and education.
“I grew up with you and am sending you all my love, my @worldfoodprogramme family. Nobel Peace Prize 2020. Congratulations to all.”
Her father, Gabby Concepcion, chimes in on the celebration after posting a photo of his daughter during her humanitarian work in East Africa.

First Yaya
Another cause for celebration for Gabby Concepcion is the announcement of his newest leading lady in the upcoming Kapuso series First Yaya.
On an Instagram Story, the former matinee idol shares a couple of Sanya Lopez's photos and says, “Sa wakas may yaya na ako.
“'First Yaya' taping soon.”
